Why This Reference Exists
Georgia public-record rules can make arrest and booking material accessible, but the correct source depends on who created or keeps the record. The Colquitt County Sheriff's Office, led by Sheriff Rod Howell, and the jail are the starting points for a county booking record and its intake image. The Georgia Department of Corrections, or GDC, is the source for sentenced state custody. The courts hold case filings and the later disposition, while a focused records request covers an existing record that is not posted online. The CCSO information page, GDC's Colquitt County Jail listing, Georgia Courts E-Access, and the Georgia open-records guide provide the official starting points. This site organizes those paths and explains how they differ. It hosts no photo galleries of its own.
What You Can Use Here
Use the site as a map to the right record system, with local cautions kept in view.
- A plain-language home guide for current custody questions, retained booking records, the absence or presence of an official recent-booking view, and open-records requests.
- Separate explanations of the county jail record, the GDC offender search for sentenced state custody, and court searches for what happened after booking.
- Request guidance for an existing booking sheet and, when legally releasable, an intake photograph, including the official Georgia open-records route.
- Local context for Moultrie, Omega, and Norman Park, including the split-county warning that can affect an Omega arrest and the importance of confirming the arresting agency.
What This Site Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It has no connection with a Georgia sheriff's office, jail, corrections department, or other government agency, including the offices that maintain Colquitt County records.
- It cannot release, hold, or transfer anyone in custody.
- It cannot post bond, schedule a visit, or send money for you.
- It cannot provide legal advice.
- It cannot promise that every phone number, fee, or address remains current.
Only the responsible government office can confirm current custody, charges, or release. Links on this site are informational pointers; an official result must come from the sheriff, jail, GDC, or court that maintains it.
Search Partners and Referral Disclosure
Some pages may include search tools supplied by third-party providers. Those providers set their own prices, terms, and result policies. If a tool leads to a paid signup, this site may receive a referral fee that helps keep the reference free. The fee does not give this site control over the partner's results. Georgia's consumer guidance on mugshot websites is another official reference, and official Colquitt County, Georgia, and court sources should be checked first.
